New Monitors! Focal Twin 6be's!
I did a lot of comparison, and these won out. And a judicious choice it has been! I loved the Mackies, and they're still here, but these new Focals are yielding even better translation results for mixing and mastering. Thanks to my good friend, Rob Stimson, for construction and installation of more new acoustic traps; we be sittin' pretty!
Also recently added a pair of Avantone Mix Cubes to put the icing on the cake for translatable mixes!!!

I've just installed an Antelope Audio Isochrone OCX master clock to the proceedings to enable better, more efficient mastering and mixing decisions. Also new to the house for mastering and mixing are the Manley Vari-Mu tube compressor-limiter and a Crane Song Avocet for the ultimate in monitoring control. I am just as excited to note that I have added another stellar EQ, the API 5500. These pieces are so incredibly revered and versatile. More classic stuff to better serve our clients!
Beyond the addition of the the new Crane Song equipment listed below, I've added another set of beautiful analog to digital/digital to analog converters from Apogee, recognized industry-wide as one of the very, very best. The Apogee Rosetta allows us better to work with studios across the universe, whether taking in or providing masters at sample rates of 44.1, 48, 88.2, 96, 176.4, and 192. We've added the True Precision 8 preamp and the ART Tubefire 8 preamp for a marvelous combination of solid-state and valve pre-amplification. The Precision 8 is revered industry-wide as one of the best sounding pre's out there. The ART piece is one of those that's flown under the radar a bit. Solidly built and incorporating a velvety smooth tube sound, it, too, excels at almost any source you can throw at it! NEW EQUIPMENT
We have updated the computer works here in the studio courtesy of the good folks at Sweetwater Sound. It's a fine and clean machine indeed! Lots of new plug-ins from Universal Audio and Waves, including some cool Neve stuff as well as plug-ins modeling SSL and API!!! Gotta love that SSL buss compressor! And the API emulations are stunning...great on so many sources, drums being at the top of the list!

I can take your LP's 45's, 78's, cassettes, etc. and get them to CD with amazing results, even if, and especially if they need "cleaning up". Please visit the
