2008 was a good year here...our best ever! This has allowed me to upgrade equipment for more of the "good stuff" to provide clients with EVEN better services. The latest additions have been in MOBILE RECORDING and in MASTERING.

I've recently added some cool, and I mean very cool equipment for tracking, mixing and mastering including the Apogee Rosetta 200, Crane Song's HEDD 192, IBIS, and STC-8, the True Precision 8 mic preamp, and the ART Tubefire! I am so glad that these now have a home here at the Blantone Music Studios! Talk about beautiful sound and versatility!

I've a new computer rig here, too...great new plug-ins from Waves, Universal Audio, and Voxengo that emulate so very well the classic sonic fingerprint of SSL, API, and Neve. Let us track mix, and master your next important project!

Lots of people ask, "What is MASTERING, really?". I've provided a brief but comprehensive explanation here. WSNB have finished their second album here at the studio. Having had the privilege to work with these fine and talented musicians on their first album here, and with the warm reception that Jomo Swamp Root Boogie got on multiple XM stations and on stations around the country, anticipation here (and elsewhere) is great, and that the second offering, Okktibeha County, will be even better received. From my standpoint the material is stronger, the performances better, and production quality outshines the previous. We certainly have taken more time and used the best of the best for mixing digitally this time! NEW CLIPS COMING SOON!

Velvet Truckstop has recorded on location, along with Hollywood Red, The Artimus Pyle Band, and other notables. More on all that here...
